In North India (Purnimanta calendar) Chaitra runs from Thursday, 12 March 2009 to Thursday, 9 April 2009. In Amanta-calendar regions it runs Friday, 27 March 2009 to Saturday, 25 April 2009.
Why do Chaitra dates differ in North and South India?
