In North India (Purnimanta calendar) Vaishakh runs from Sunday, 17 April 2022 to Monday, 16 May 2022. In Amanta-calendar regions it runs Sunday, 1 May 2022 to Monday, 30 May 2022.
Why do Vaishakh dates differ in North and South India?
Because the two regions follow different lunar calendars. In the Purnimanta calendar (North India) a month ends on the Purnima, so it starts about 15 days earlier than in Amanta.
