In North India (Purnimanta calendar) Vaishakh runs from Wednesday, 21 April 2027 to Thursday, 20 May 2027. In Amanta-calendar regions it runs Friday, 7 May 2027 to Friday, 4 June 2027.
Why do Vaishakh dates differ in North and South India?
Because the two regions follow different lunar calendars. In the Purnimanta calendar (North India) a month ends on the Purnima, so it starts about 15 days earlier than in Amanta.
